With the main event on June 20th in Carro Quemado as the focal point of the patriotic celebrations, the Secretariat of Culture presents this week’s program. The Provincial Choir will visit Lonquimay and Anguil, while museums and venues in Santa Rosa and Toay open their doors with visual arts exhibitions, workshops, and talks.

June 20: Flag Day
#

In homage to its creator, General Manuel Belgrano, who died on this day in 1820.

Official ceremony of the Government of La Pampa in Carro Quemado.

  • Main commemorative ceremony organized jointly by the Provincial Government, the Municipality of Carro Quemado, and the Argentine Army.
  • 10:30: Reception of authorities.
  • 11:00: Main ceremony. Argentine National Anthem. Reading and presentation of the Municipal Resolution.
  • Remarks by a municipal and a provincial authority.
  • Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag by 4th-grade students. Oath of Office for Assistant - Officers, Cadets, and aspiring Police Officers of La Pampa.
  • Oath of Allegiance to volunteer soldiers from the military garrisons of Santa Rosa and Toay.

Santa Isabel
#

  • Friday, June 19 | 10:00 a.m. | on the banks of the Salado River.

  • Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag ceremony.

  • School No. 99, together with the Municipality of Santa Isabel and the Department of Tourism, Culture, and Education, invites the entire community to join the event.

  • For families of students and invited schools who cannot attend in person, the ceremony can be followed live on the official Instagram account @municipiosantaisabel.

Lonquimay
#

Provincial Choir, today | 10 PM | House of Culture. Gala Evening as part of the celebrations for the 121st anniversary of Lonquimay.
The public is expected to be received starting at 9:00 PM with a welcome toast.

Anguil,
#

  • Saturday 20 | 7:30 PM | Enrique Stieben School.
  • In conjunction with the Flag Day celebration, the Provincial Choir will perform at the invitation of the local Municipal Singing Workshop, directed by Laura Paturlanne. Both groups will present the “Unison - Shared Song” concert.
    In both, Lonquimay and Anguil, the concerts are organized and supported by the respective municipalities.

Santa Rosa

Pablo Peppino presents “Second Life,” a series of works created from salvaged wood transformed by the artist, inviting reflection on the passage of time, waste, and the reinterpretation of materials.

Visiting days and hours
Free admission until August 5, Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday, 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Provincial Museum of Arts (MPArtes) presents

“Transparency of Time” by visual artist Estela Jorge. The exhibition offers a journey through the different periods of her artistic production. Throughout her more than forty-year career, the artist has maintained a profound investigation into form, space, light, and the sensitivity of materials. Under the development and exhibition design of artist Ricardo Arcuri, visitors can appreciate everything from her experiments with glass fusing, color, and textures to the construction of more introspective and conceptual atmospheres. As part of the exhibition “Transparency of Time,” Museo Vivo will take place, a meeting with Estela Jorge featuring the artist Ricardo Arcuri.

The Pink Piece
“The Fervors Received” by audiovisual artist Gabriel González Carreño, curated by Lis Cofré and Lihué Pumilla, is a multimedia installation that uses synchronized analog projection devices to intervene in the space. The work breaks with passive contemplation, as the presence of the public activates or alters the rhythm of the cinematic loops through motion sensors, creating a constant flow of repetition and wear.

Provincial Museum of Natural History (MPHN) | Quintana 116
Temporary exhibition
“To the Wind: Languages ​​of the Tierra del Fuego and Pampas Territories.”

It stems from archival research that allowed for the recovery of valuable linguistic records of the indigenous peoples of the Tierra del Fuego, Patagonia, and Pampas regions. Based on this scientific foundation, a multimedia and interactive experience was created, comprising information panels and photographs, three-dimensional objects, audio and video recordings, and interactive maps.
The exhibition, organized in conjunction with the Secretariat of Culture and University Extension of the National University of La Pampa (UNLPam), will be open from June to August, with a complementary program that includes artistic activities, book presentations, and various events related to the theme. Free admission.

Permanent exhibition
“Nature and Culture”
The result of a collaborative process focused on the formation of the collections, thematic axes, and the human narrative. Based on an innovative museographic strategy, it combines design and comprehensive visual communication with diverse objects and specimens from the collections, recounting the relationship between human groups and nature.

MPHN Opening Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM and 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Saturdays and Sundays, 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Closed on holidays. Free admission.

Toay
#

Olga Orozco House Museum | Av. Regimiento 13 de Caballería 1102,
“La Fantasma” Room: Lorena Espíndola presents printed digital collages created from texts in the book “Las violetas sonríen en la escarcha” (Violets Smile in the Frost) by María Costilla. The exhibition can be visited until Sunday, June 21st, inclusive, with free admission. Complementary Activity:
Saturday, June 20th | 2:30 PM. We Build BereniceArticulated Collage Workshop. Led by Lorena Espíndola, participants will create a playful and theatrical object. Free activity. Suggested age: 6 to 12 years.

Self-Guided Tours:
The Olga Orozco House Museum offers a daily self-guided tour of its rooms. It also has an Educational Room open to the public for playing, reading, and interacting with the Museum’s collection.
The inclusive exhibition “Accessible Poetry,” featuring poems and literary works by Olga Orozco in Braille, is also on display. This museum offering adds content. Accessible to people with visual, hearing, and intellectual disabilities.
