'Myths and Legends. Narratives of the territory': they invite us to rescue and value oral heritage

The Undersecretary of Cultural Coordination of the Secretariat of Culture invited neighbors, institutions, libraries, schools and cultural references from all over the Province to participate in ‘Myths and Legends. Narratives of the territory’, a proposal aimed at recovering, preserving and sharing those stories that are part of the memory and identity of La Pampa.

“Some of these stories were written, many others were not, but they are still alive in the shared word, in an after-dinner conversation, in a family gathering or in the memory of those who heard them once and retold them. Through this initiative, the Ministry of Culture seeks to listen, record and preserve those voices to build a living cultural archive of La Pampa, made up of stories from different localities and generations,” said Lis Urdániz, Undersecretary of Cultural Coordination, to the Provincial News Agency.

Call. Deadlines

From today until July 10, the call to gather stories, myths and legends from all over the Province will remain open. The selected stories may be part of future cultural and editorial productions in different formats.

Those who wish to participate can share their own stories, stories transmitted by relatives or popular stories known in their community, by completing this form

Informative workshop
