The La Pampa’s Provincial Choir, from the Secretariat of Culture continues with its June agenda, joining the celebrations for the anniversary of Lonquimay and celebrating Flag Day in Anguil.
The Secretariat of Culture invited to enjoy the upcoming performances of the Provincial Choir, which continues its busy concert schedule this June. On Thursday, June 18, the Choir will participate in the Gala Evening as part of the celebrations for the 121st Anniversary of Lonquimay. The concert will take place at the House of Culture at 10:00 PM. Guests are expected to arrive at 9:00 PM with a welcome toast.
On Saturday, June 20, in Anguil, and in conjunction with the Flag Day celebrations, the Provincial Choir will perform at 7:30 PM at the Enrique Stieben School. On this occasion, and thanks to an invitation from the local Municipal Singing Workshop directed by Laura Paturlanne, both groups will present the concert “Unison – Shared Song.” Both concerts are organized and supported by their respective municipalities. These presentations add to their recent participation in the opening of the exhibition “Malvinizing is the mission”, organized by the Malvinas Ex-Combatants Center at the Provincial Legislature.
Since 2016, the Provincial Choir has been actively engaged in artistic activities, including performances of “Songs of Discovery” (by Osvaldo Guglielmino and Camilo Matta), a performance alongside the renowned “Grupo Vocal Argentino,” the contemporary music show “Sólo cantamos” (We Only Sing), and a staging of the iconic Misa Criolla with Facundo Ramírez.
In addition to promoting the “CoreaMus” open rehearsal series in provincial museums, the choir has brought music to schools through educational concerts and flash mobs. On the national and audiovisual front, it has participated in the programs “Acercarte” (TV Pública Pampeana) and “Unísono” (INAMU/National TV Pública). Also noteworthy is their participation in the “Voices of Latin America” project alongside 200 choirs from the region, the XXVIII Integration Choral Festival of the National University of Colombia, the 53rd Villa Gesell Choral Encounters, and the Argentine premiere of Franz Reisinger’s “Pastoral Mass” in 2025.
The Provincial Choir is directed by Maestro Mario Figueroa, and since 2025 has benefited from the vocal training of Lic. Hana Fernández.
