'Rock del Centro' arrives at the CC MEDASUR

With free access, the event will take place on May 15 and 16 at the MEDASUR Cultural Center. The proposal combines audiovisual projections, workshops with specialists in the sector, the inauguration of the photographic exhibition ‘FAN’ by Nora Lezano and a musical closing with La Pampa’s bands.

Organized by the Secretary of Culture of the Government of La Pampa, the activity proposes a comprehensive approach to the genre, “understanding rock not only as a show, but as a fundamental part of a complex and dynamic cultural industry such as the music industry, which requires training, management and construction of identity,” according to the Undersecretary of Cultural Coordination, Lis Urdániz.

Workshops

Inti Raymi, manager and marketing specialist with 25 years of experience, will give workshops on management, financing and digital positioning of musical projects.

Nicolás “Parker” Pucci, sound engineer and producer, winner of Grammy and Gardel awards, will offer a technical talk on music production from the demo to the studio.
Matías Fernández and León Luna, artists of Paraninfos, will share their vision on the artistic construction of a live show.

Nora Lezano

On Friday 15 at 8:00 p.m., the exhibition ‘FAN’, by the renowned photographer Nora Lezano, will be inaugurated at the ‘Eduardo Di Nardo’ Art Space. It is a retrospective that captures the intimacy and power of Argentine rock through iconic portraits. The exhibition will be attended by the author and can be visited until June 12.

Closing with live rock music

On Saturday 16, from 7:00 p.m., the cycle will close in the Auditorium with the Pampas bands Nómades (Jacinto Arauz), Abstheia (Santa Rosa), Efecto Nhossi (General Pico) and Naturaleza Utópica (Toay), representing the diversity and renewal of the provincial scene.

“Rock makes you uncomfortable, questions and generates belonging. With this cycle we seek to affirm that cultural production does not go down in a straight line, but is built collectively from our territory,’” said Lis Urdániz, who also stressed the importance of public-private articulation to guarantee the sustainability and professionalization of the sector.
