The works of Nicolás Guardiola and Sofía Árbol, curated by Pedro Giunta, will be exhibited in the activity, in addition to the musical contribution of DJ Matías Mina. The proposal is an hybrid show between paintings and music, which is gaining more and more followers.
The Secretary of Culture, Pablo Lucero, stressed that it is an activity that articulates the public with the private to stage a first-class artistic show with free admission.
Guardiola said that ‘La Pampa is always an inspiration’ for his work. ‘It is a province with so much sky that it gives the artist a different perspective. The landscape seems as if expanded and offers an incredible possibility of openness. I paint in oil and I do figuration, with a metaphysical tinge. Contemplation and meditation are essential characteristics of this proposal, which I reach as a creator and spectator as well,’ added the plastic artist, who is also a teacher.
Meanwhile, Sofía Árbol explained why they gave that name to the exhibition. ‘The idea of diversity and of man and woman led us to choose heaven, as the representative of the masculine and the earth, for its feminine contribution.’
The curator of the exhibition, Pedro Giunta, pointed out that the work of the two artists seems to have been planned especially for the Province. At that point, his pride in his origins came to light: he has been based in Intendente Alvear (‘my place in the world’), his family’s land, for five years.
A tandem between paintings and electronic music #
Gastón de la Serna, from the production company Zyklus, referred to the mixture between plastic art and music. ‘In the midst of the tandem boom, which is this combination between two artistic expressions, offering this show in Santa Rosa is a great contribution for the public who is eager to enjoy it.’
