Call for applications for Pampa Lab 2026: a boost to enhance audiovisual production

The Provincial Secretariat of Culture, together with the Film Commission and the General Pico National Film Festival, launched an audiovisual workshop for projects in advanced stages of development. Registration will be open until July 25.

The Secretariat of Culture of the Government of La Pampa, through the Directorate of Innovation in Cultural Management and the La Pampa Film Commission, announced the opening of the call for applications for Pampa Lab 2026. This support and development lab will take place within the framework of the 10th edition of the General Pico National Film Festival.

The APN stated that the initiative consolidates a sustained public policy that seeks to boost local production, strengthen the technical and strategic capacities of filmmakers, and expand the reach of La Pampa cinema in national and international circuits.

The Lab offers a comprehensive work path in a blended format that combines two complementary dimensions: technical and artistic post-production, and the design of distribution strategies (festivals, markets, and platforms).

It will include an in-person component on August 9 and 10 in General Pico, with intensive diagnostic sessions, personalized workshops, screenings, and group mentoring. It will also include a virtual component consisting of two subsequent mandatory follow-up meetings to review progress and refine positioning strategies.

Target audience and participation quotas

The call for entries is open to short and feature film projects (fiction, documentary, animation, or hybrid formats) that demonstrate an advanced stage of completion, equivalent to 60% or more of their total execution. Up to five projects will be selected in total (four slots allocated to the province of La Pampa and one invited slot for the other Patagonian provinces). Two alternate projects will also be selected.

Each project must nominate a representative (from the directing, production, or filmmaking team), who will assume exclusive participation and a commitment to attendance.

The organizers will provide lodging and meals for the representatives during the in-person sessions in General Pico. For the selected project from the Patagonian region, ground transportation will also be covered.

Professional support will be provided

The circulation and positioning process will be managed by Lara Decuzzi, a renowned audiovisual producer, Image and Sound Designer (UBA), current director of the Río Negro Audiovisual Hub, and coordinator of the INCAA Theater in General Roca.

Furthermore, the technical completion and assembly process will be coordinated by a professional with extensive experience in film analysis and post-production, specifically selected based on the profile and needs of the chosen works.

Application requirements

Registration is done via a web form and requires the submission of a single PDF document (containing a synopsis, progress report, filmographies, and a cover letter) along with viewing links for the edited version (Vimeo, YouTube, or Google Drive).
