The Secretariat of Culture of La Pampa invited everyone to the closing of the “Rock del Centro” cycle, an initiative that integrated training, artistic exhibition, audiovisual productions and live recitals.
The Bands #
Ascensor is a band from Tapiales (Buenos Aires) that emerged in 1986 within the Buenos Aires underground scene with an independent approach. Influenced by bands like The Police, Sting, and Soda Stereo, they have extensive experience performing in Buenos Aires and internationally in Chile, Brazil, and Mexico.
Paraninfos (Santa Rosa, La Pampa). With over 17 years of outstanding experience in the independent music scene, this indie rock band was formed in 2009. Their influences range from the sound of bands like The Cure, Radiohead and Soda Stereo, to The Beatles, Virus, Arcade Fire and Sumo.
Last days of the “FAN” photo exhibition #
As the season draws to a close, the artistic project by renowned photographer Nora Lezano comes to an end. Across the various levels of the “Eduardo Di Nardo” Art Space, FAN captures the intimacy and power of Argentine rock through iconic portraits. The exhibition can be viewed during its final days: Thursday, June 11, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Friday, June 12, from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. (before the show begins), with free admission.
“Rock in our province has historically been a space for identity, generational encounters, and symbolic production. ‘Rock del Centro’ was conceived as one of the activities that complete a cultural policy focused on the dissemination and professionalization of our musicians and the sustained growth of the La Pampa music scene,” Lis Urdániz, Undersecretary of Cultural Coordination, told the Provincial News Agency.
