On Sunday, June 7, the town of Parera will receive the traditional Solidarity Choral Concert ‘More Voices, More Hands’. With the participation of eight groups from La Pampa, the event seeks to collect food, warm clothing and footwear for vulnerable sectors.
Starting at 7:00 p.m., the Parera Multipurpose Hall will receive a new edition of the Solidarity Choral Concert ‘More voices, more hands’. This initiative, which fuses choral singing with social commitment, once again summons the people of La Pampa in a community meeting.
Born in 2014 with the organization of the Choral Association of La Pampa – thanks to an idea promoted by the remembered chorister and solidarity worker Nélida Decristófano – this annual proposal was consolidated in the cultural and social agenda of the Province.
The central purpose of the meeting is to extend a hand to those who need it most. For this reason, the attending public is asked to collaborate with non-perishable food, winter clothing and/or warm footwear. All the proceeds, added to the contributions of the choristers themselves, will be destined and distributed to different solidarity entities.
The organization of this edition is in charge of the ‘Villa Sarita’ Singing Group of Parera in conjunction with the Choral Association of La Pampa, and is sponsored by the Municipality of Parera. The SUM stage will receive groups from all over the region, under the direction of master Nieves Cabral,Eduardo Ferrando,Rina Jurado,Miguel Ferrando and Walter Ribeiro.
Presentations will include ‘Larroudé canta’ (Bernardo Larroudé), Municipal Choir of Alta Italia,Municipal Choir of Embajador Martini,Choir ‘Canto a la vida’ (Intendente Alvear), ‘Atauncanto’ (General Pico), Municipal Choir ‘Alejandro Yicarean’ (Colonia Barón), Municipal Choir of Quemú Quemú and Singing Group ‘Villa Sarita’ (host – Parera).
