La Pampa: The reward of 7 million pesos on Andrea López's data is still in force

The Government of La Pampa recalled that the reward of 7 million pesos offered to anyone who provides concrete information that manages to locate the remains of Andrea Noemí López, victim of femicide who disappeared on February 10, 2004, is still in force.

Those who want to access the reward must provide truthful and decisive information, to the Undersecretary of Human Rights of the Province of La Pampa, the Provincial Police or to Public Prosecutor’s Office, requesting confidentiality of identity.

This February 10 marked the 22nd anniversary of the disappearance of the young woman from Santa Rosa, La Pampa, Argentina. The provincial justice system found that Andrea López was the victim of femicide at the hands of her partner, boxer Víctor Purreta, for which he was sentenced in 2014 for the homicide to 18 years in prison. The sentence was unified with a previous one for crimes of pimping and injuries, so 25 years were computed in total.

The Undersecretary of Human Rights, Paula Grotto, the organization that implements the reward from the Ministry of Social Development and Human Rights, reminded to the Provincial News Agency that the search for Andrea López “is State policy for the Government of La Pampa in the face of an emblematic case in the Province of violence against women. The fight against this scourge is every day, because Andrea’s disappearance shows us the deep wounds that violence leaves in each of the victims."
