In relation to the other case, corresponding to the first deceased person, the samples obtained were not sufficient, which is why the epidemiological investigation continues in order to reach conclusive results. The Ministry also stated that to date no new cases have been registered.
Recommendations #
-
Always prioritize foods prepared under food safety standards and with official sanitary registration.
-
Avoid the consumption of homemade pickles and other products purchased in informal sales.
-
Avoid the consumption of homemade preserves without a date of manufacture, without identification of the producer or without sanitary authorization.
Previously, the La Pampa’s Ministry of Health recommended not consuming pickles and homemade preserves of the Juli-Mar brand because they do not present certification from the National Registry of Food Products (RNPA) and National Registry of Establishments (RNE). It is important to note that foods prepared following the appropriate preparation and conservation guidelines guarantee their safety and contribute to protecting the health of the population, preventing the development of microorganisms that can cause foodborne diseases (FBDs), the Ministry said.
