La Pampa government is promoting work instances as part of a long-term planning strategy, where connectivity and digital infrastructure are central conditions to strengthen territorial integration, improve competitiveness and accompany productive innovation throughout the Province.
Connectivity, modernization and digital infrastructure #
At the meeting of the connectivity sector, held within the framework of the PDEP 2026-2030, the strategy and its components linked to the transversal axis of connectivity were shared, aimed at strengthening digital infrastructure throughout the provincial territory and deepening the modernization of the La Pampa State.
Meanwhile, the head of EMPATEL, Andrés Zulueta stressed that “in 2025 La Pampa reached 150,271 internet connections, which meant 7,556 new users compared to 2024, consolidating a policy of federalization of connectivity. Likewise, during the last year, the average download speed doubled in 20 of the 22 departments (from 41.72 Mb/s to 81.43 Mb/s), with substantial improvements in 73 of the 80 localities in La Pampa.”
Public-private synergy for joint planning #
Those present in the meeting stressed the importance of deepening public-private synergy as a necessary condition for joint planning of the sector, aimed at strengthening the competitiveness and quality of telecommunications services in the province. The value of encouraging agreements and cooperation schemes between private actors that promote competition in a balanced and sustainable framework was highlighted, safeguarding the development of SMEs and cooperatives in the sector and protecting associated jobs against the eventual arrival and expansion of national telecommunications monopolies in the provincial territory.
