The La Pampa’s Provincial Choir, from the Secretariat of Culture, invited the community to a special concert that will take place next Sunday, December 7 at 9:00 p.m., in the Chapel of Mary Help of Christians in Toay (Av. 9 de Julio 530). The concert will be held in adherence to the International Day of Choral Singing, promoted by the International Federation of Choral Music (IFCM), and will feature a varied repertoire ranging from popular music to classical choral work.
A program with a national premiere #
The concert will be divided into two parts. In the first, the choir will perform a repertoire that includes works by Argentine artists such as León Gieco, Marta Gómez and Charly García, along with the music of the British composer John Rutter. These pieces will be presented a cappella and with piano accompaniment. Later, and for the first time in Argentina, the Provincial Choir will stage the Pastoralmesse in G und C (Pastoral Mass in G and C) by the German composer Franz Reisinger (1838-1905). This Pastoral Mass for soloists, chamber orchestra and choir will provide the community with the exceptional opportunity to attend the performance of a new choral repertoire.
The presentation, organized by the Secretariat of Culture of the Province, is sponsored by the Municipality of Toay.
