The auditorium of CC MEDASUR was filled with writers, prominent figures from literature and culture, and an audience that accompanied the voices that bring this important anthology to life, a product of the 2024 call from the Pampeano Editorial Fund (FEP), which brings together numerous works by poets and narrators, both emerging and established, from across the Province.
The event began with the words of the Secretary of Culture Pablo Lucero Álvarez, who highlighted to the Provincial News Agency the FEP importance, as in these 40 uninterrupted years of promoting literary production in La Pampa, the provincial government continues to fulfill public policies to promote and support the publishing industry, through the production, circulation, and distribution of Pampean cultural goods.
Lucero Álvarez highlighted the importance of being part of this anthology, the participation in the FEP calls, of being selected, and being in a project that reflects and enhances the literature of the Province, while also thanked the presence of the authors. Then he called to the table the writers María Gabriela Selinger and Olga Liliana Reinoso as representatives of the extensive list of participants. Lucero Álvarez dedicated a lengthy passage to naming each of the authors included in the anthology in the categories of Poetry and Short Story, briefly highlighting their careers.

María Gabriela Selinger shared her joy and excitement for participating with a story that marks her first publication, highlighting that she started writing only two years ago. Her work included in the anthology addresses a current social issue: the underground financial institutions that abuse and intimidate people in need, and touches on sensitive topics such as violence and Italian immigration in the province. “In the stories I write, I try to highlight some social activity and denote some personal issue or something from my childhood, addressing themes such as the Malvinas, the return of democracy, or inflation,” Selinger stated.
“It is a great emotion for me to be here today, celebrating nothing less than the 40th anniversary of the Pampeano Editorial Fund; I have lived through all of them, I know them all”, said the renowned writer Olga Liliana Reinoso.
Reinoso deeply thanked FEP for “sustaining this path for four decades” and those who work to ensure that Pampean literature “is disseminated and grows.” With a call to action, she concluded: “May this celebration renew our strength and joy to continue writing, reading, and creating together. Because in words, the best of our memory and our future is preserved.”
