The 2025 edition of the National Robotics League took place yesterday at the Technological Pole of General Pico, with a remarkable participation from La Pampa and a wide area of influence.

Present were the Minister of Education, Marcela Feuerschvenger, the Minister of Connectivity and Modernization, Antonio Curciarello, the Mayor of General Pico, Fernanda Alonso, the Executive Director of CITIA, Verónica Duarte, the Vice-Rector of the UNLPam, María Ema Martín, authorities from the Faculty of Engineering of the UNLPam, among provincial officials, participants, and the public.

Feuerschvenger stated to the Provincial News Agency that “from Education, it is extremely important and we understand that events like this promote innovation, science, and technology. We always seek for students from secondary schools, and even primary schools that decide to participate, to be able to do so with the tools they have available. Inter-ministerial work is fundamental, aiming to promote training and creativity.”

“This activity a few years ago was almost exclusive to those who dedicated themselves to it; today we are pleased to see how public schools promote programming and robotics, and this even starts from the Early Childhood level, where teachers are trained to work with the equipment available in the institutions, which leads us to say that it is an open knowledge for everyone, with digital skills ranging from early childhood to secondary education,” Feuerschvenger emphasized.

Meanwhile Curciarello highlighted the event, stating that “the provincial government, through its various ministries, is constantly working on these types of events, which help deepen the participants’ vocation, confirm their dedication and interest in technology, which has seen rapid growth and is a technology that is here to stay, making a significant contribution to the knowledge economy and the personal development of the participants.”

“Technology today is very transversal to all generations, and we must add that we have generations that are digital natives, and it is very interesting to see how they like and engage in finding their place, their space, which is provided by the provincial management led by Governor Sergio Ziliotto, through his program for software development, the contribution of the Faculty of Engineering of UNLPam, especially in these very tough times for undergraduate education, and it is very interesting to see how all this comes together to seek alternatives and to contribute to a labor market where demand is usually greater than supply, so we see that the fact that so many young people are involved is a good sign,” Curciarello emphasized.

Duarte indicated that “technology today challenges us all, but it does so in a different way for the younger generation. So, when one proposes this type of activities, and from the provincial level they support us in these events, they join in. We notice a lot of work in science clubs, actions related to automation, robotics, and technology are being revived, and this is very important in these types of activities. We see that they are eager, they engage in the activities, they have new ideas, and they play around with this a bit. There is a lot of work from the provincial government in this, because the youth are the seedbed, and what comes from here on out is due to their enthusiasm.”

“We have a Ministry of Connectivity and Modernization that launches Código Pampa, a Ministry of Education that incorporates categories in science fairs related to technology, CITIA with all it contributes to knowledge, and it is worth highlighting the Faculty of Engineering with all its pathways. Things cannot be done any other way. When we complement each other, we differentiate ourselves with that joint work. There is no other way to achieve a connection, because all the time, those who participate are looking for new things, which forces us to improve continuously. I am not only talking about young people; we also see many older people coming forward with new ideas, putting us in a position where we have to work on this, look at this other thing differently, and that is how things come together. The state enables, the private sector energizes, and in this way, we find better opportunities for everyone,” concluded Duarte.
