Hundred million pesos were given to producers in the La Pampa to continue with the tasks in the native forest.

The Ministry of Production, through Natural Resources, granted Non-Refundable Contributions (APN) to 10 producers from La Pampa, under the National Forest Law No. 26331, corresponding to the 2023 call.

The Minister of Production, Fernanda González, highlighted this policy that has been implemented for several years, which involves “the planned intervention of the forest, thereby ensuring its conservation and sustainable production, which has been reflecting favorable results that support the continuation of such work through the Multiannual Management Plans.”

The General Director of Natural Resources, Carlos Bonnemezón, commented to the Provincial News Agency (APN) that in this fund distribution “a presentation was made of the interventions to be carried out, as well as the requirements to be met regarding the reports, but additionally, producers shared their opinions and views on how the reception of their fields has changed diametrically in terms of livestock suitability, and the new uses they were able to implement.” He recalled that the purpose of the contributions is, as always, “to try to open up the forest and make the necessary interventions to make it more productive while considering its preservation.”

Finally, Bonnemezón emphasized that some producers received these funds for the first time, while others have already obtained their POAs (Annual Operational Plans) on several occasions. He also noted that “many of them expanded these funds privately to continue with the interventions, which shows us that the efforts are yielding results.”
