With undertakings underway, projects under construction and strategic works in execution, the Provincial Agri-Food Park is advancing as a development pole in Santa Rosa and the central region of the province, but also as a logistics center on the way to Patagonia and specifically to Vaca Muerta.

During his visit, Governor Sergio Ziliotto reaffirmed that the “economic stability of the Pampas guarantees production, employment and growth and mitigates the negative effects of a national economic policy that threatens industries in general.”

The Park has 26 plots, 14 of them already awarded to 11 companies, while six remain in reserve for future extensions and the remaining six are available for adjudication. The eleven fully operational companies are projected to generate 201 direct jobs.

The Governor visited on Wednesday the Provincial Agri-Food Park, located on the side of National Route 35, near Santa Rosa. There he toured companies in operation and others in the process of being established. In addition, he confirmed the progress of the infrastructure works carried out by the provincial government to promote productive development. The Park has the necessary infrastructure for the operation of the companies, security service and permanent maintenance of the property.

Ziliotto said that “the policy of our Government is clear: production and work are the engines of development. Thanks to the financial order that sustains La Pampa historically, we can guarantee investments and accompany the private sector even in a national context of uncertainty.” At the same time, he explained that “while the national economy is going through ups and downs, in La Pampa we continue to generate opportunities for more companies to settle, produce and generate employment.”

During the tour, in which the Minister of Production, Fernanda González and other members of that portfolio participated, Ziliotto was with Horacio Serra, of Transporte Serra, who explained that the chambers and warehouses “were executed by Pampean companies and financed through the CFI and the Buy Pampean program.”

Meanwhile, businesswoman Mariana Huerta commented that she is about to install her pasta factory and referred to the possibilities offered by the Park: “The fact that there are several companies installed in different areas makes it possible to work together. To distribute the frozen products I depend on a company from Bahía Blanca. Serra could do that now,” she said.

The re-functionalization work of a warehouse in the Agri-Food Park was also toured, which is in its final stage and will allow the habilitation of three new functional units of approximately 600 square meters each.

It is expected to launch a call for projects for the establishment in two of these three units, while the remaining one will be reserved to accompany an eventual growth of the Pampas dairy company Mamu, or as a logistics point of the firm within the Park.

The food processing room of the Santa Rosa Agri-Food Park, after the termination of the contract with Foodrush company, is again available to the private sector through a new call that contemplates its rental with an option to buy it. The space has a covered area of approximately 2,400 square meters, distributed in production areas, two warehouses and support offices.

In this way, the APN said that the provincial government guarantees that this strategic infrastructure continues to meet its objective of promoting the development of enterprises linked to food processing, providing favorable conditions for the establishment and growth of new productive initiatives.
