Aguas del Colorado (SAPEM) reported that a water leak was detected early Thursday morning in the Colorado River Aqueduct line, at survey station 97.630, approximately 166 kilometers from the city of Santa Rosa.
A company crew immediately arrived on site and is already working on repairing the system. At the same time, the municipal authorities of Santa Rosa and Toay were notified to implement the necessary mechanisms for this type of contingency.
The work is estimated to take approximately 36 hours, so drinking water delivery to Santa Rosa and Toay will be made from reserves and will be reduced by 50% while the work is carried out.
The public was advised to use drinking water rationally and preserve their household water supplies until service can be fully restored.
Aguas del Colorado thanked users for their understanding and urges them to use this resource responsibly and in solidarity.
