The city of Macachín is preparing to welcome the third edition of the FUA Itinerant Festival, the event that brings art and culture to every corner of La Pampa.
Organized by La Pampa Government and funded by the Federal Investment Council (CFI), the Festival promises a series of high-quality artistic performances that will celebrate the region’s cultural diversity.
Today, the Secretary of Tourism, Saúl Echeveste, thanked the mayor of Macachín, Martín Mujica, for hosting this edition of the Festival, which will boost the local economy with the arrival of visitors from throughout the area of influence.
Next Sunday, starting at 2:00 PM, in Amaury Díaz Park at Macachín. This will be the third performance of this Festival, which has already successfully passed through Toay and General Acha and plans to tour the entire interior of La Pampa.
The event will take place on two stages. The first of these will feature emerging artists from Macachín, who will be able to showcase their work. The Calfucurá Municipal Ballet and the Amancay Group will be there, both performing folk dances; Caray! will be performing a circus show; and the band Sin destino will show their art. Then it will be Pedro San Juan (Gaisher)’s turn, performing an acoustic trap show.
“This is an excellent opportunity to showcase all local artists, both folk and new rhythms, who cover different age groups,” said the Secretary of Culture, Pablo Lucero.
At the closing of the Festival, Pity Mossman, El Entrevero, and La Ronda will take to the main stage, the headliners of a day of pure entertainment for the whole family.
Lucero emphasized that Pity Mossman recently qualified for the national malambo championship in Cosquín and it is “a privilege to have him on stage.”
Meanwhile, Mayor Mujica thanked the provincial government for the proposal. “We were pleasantly surprised by this invitation and have high expectations for Sunday. We were planning an activity for Children’s Month, so we decided to add it to this event. It will be a festival for the whole family, with artisan stands and a food tour,” he said.
The event will feature various provincial government departments, who will be present with stands to showcase their work, raise awareness, and propose recreational activities focused on their areas of responsibility. The Director of Early Childhood and Management, Mariela García, explained that the Ministry of Social Development and Human Rights will present a series of proposals that are part of an action program aimed at weaning children away from screens, creating games and encouraging them to share spaces and activities with their peers.
Finally, Echeveste announced that the fourth edition already has a confirmed location and date: it will be in the north of the province, in Quemú Quemú, on Sunday, September 14.
