On August 1st., the first Awareness Day on Sexual Harassment in the Workplace was held at the Higher Police Institute, aimed at junior staff at this stage.
The activity was led by Senior Officers Lucila Anahí Vivas, María Emilia Galo, Kimei Cabrera, and Romina Elizabet Pérez, members of the Social Service Division.
The event offered a space for reflection and awareness-raising on this issue, understood as a violation of human rights and a form of violence that must be prevented and eradicated in all areas.
The La Pampa’s APN announced that the activities will be repeated in September, October, and November to include senior staff, with the goal of promoting safe work environments free of harassment and based on mutual respect.
Meanwhile, the first meeting of the Psychosocial-Educational Program for Police Officers from a Gender Perspective was held on August 8th in the auditorium of the Scientific Research Agency. This program, part of the Masculinities Area of the Social Services Division, addressed issues related to masculinities through participatory dynamics, seeking to foster critical reflection, the building of healthy relationships, and the prevention of violence.
Both activities are part of the commitment of the Ministry of Security and Justice and the Police Headquarters to promote comprehensive public security, in which the training and approach of personnel are key to ensuring respect, equity, and coexistence in all areas of action, the APN said.
