The situation occurred on last Wednesday afternoon, when three men approached a truck driver, overpowered him, tied him up, and stole a large sum of cash.
As soon as the situation became known, a Digital Security Ring, composed by license plate readers and video surveillance cameras, was activated, allowing the identification of the vehicle in which the perpetrators were traveling. At the same time, an alert was issued through the La Pampa Active Security system to all roadblocks and police personnel operating in the areas where the vehicle was traveling.
The investigation progressed in a coordinated manner between different agencies, establishing a preventive lockdown while the vehicle’s movement was monitored.
The dark Fiat Cronos involved in the robbery was finally located on Route 14, between the El Durazno Roadblock and Jagüel del Monte, where it had been parked and abandoned. By then, officers had already identified it and had mounted an operation to arrest the perpetrators.
Upon detecting movement near the car, police immediately intervened and arrested three men from Rosario who were leaving the place. They were carrying part of the stolen money, and the rest was found inside the vehicle, totaling approximately 12 million pesos.
