“People with disabilities, retirees, and workers approaching retirement are an important part of our society. Many of them live in various situations of vulnerability and cannot be forced to sacrifice themselves for an economic plan that doesn’t work,” said Diego Álvarez, Minister of Social Development and Human Rights. “From the provincial government, we address every day the demands of the people of La Pampa who are suffering the consequences of the policies of a national administration that has decided, from day one, that the costs of the adjustments should be borne by the weakest sectors”, he added.
“In the face of a heartless national government, in our province we can be proud to say that no older person is excluded from the social policies we have implemented. Here, they are included, respected, and listened to. They are never repressed” stated the Province official. “The same applies to people with disabilities. In La Pampa, they are not a problem for the State; they are people of La Pampa who are respected and supported through the inter-ministerial work of the Province government. We cannot ignore the fact that the Province government is addressing this support, despite the multi-million-dollar debt the Milei administration owes to La Pampa and the people of La Pampa. In the face of neglect, we took charge here. Older people and people with disabilities know this,” Álvarez concluded.
