Lucero referred to the announcements regarding the activities of the La Pampa Choral Association. “The Provincial Choir will take place during the months of August and September in various locations throughout the Province and with different choirs, as one of the most provincially-based activities with the greatest participation. In addition, today we have to present a very good initiative from the Choir Association to make a donation to public libraries and in several other places as well, in order to work on the pedagogy of choral work,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Director of the Provincial Choir highlighted the history and importance of the choral subculture in the Province. “We are about to hold a new, more regional choral event in the Province: its 23rd edition. This trajectory is the result of a massive collective effort. We choirs transfer our management to what we do artistically, that is, the conjunction of all our wills for the realization of an artistic work. In this case, this edition, like the previous ones, was and is possible thanks to all the choir directors, municipal entities, and cultural organizations from development committees, municipalities, and the provincial government through the Secretariat of Culture. This is in addition to the national associations that encompass us choristers”, Figueroa stated.
“The activities in La Pampa -Figueroa added- find us in a network of 30 locations for a total of 32 choral concerts in the Province, plus a training workshop. This year, the socioeconomic situation presents us with a complex outlook, but our wills are overcoming these contingencies”.
Finally, professor Figueroa reported on the donations of bibliographic materials to various public entities. “This is specific material intended for vocal technique, choral pedagogy, and conducting. We understand that the Provincial Secretariat of Culture, through Public Libraries, is the best way to ensure that it is available to all communities” concluded.
