Almudévar said that it is an honor to welcome the top leaders of world and Argentine softball to La Pampa. “And it makes us even happier that people look to Santa Rosa, La Pampa, to be able to host this important sporting event. We are going to host the best national teams in the world.”
The Undersecretary stated that “I’m sure we’ll work tirelessly to welcome the teams in the best possible way, so they have a fantastic stay in our province. And without a doubt, this event is important not only in terms of sports, but also for the economic impact it will have on hotels, sales, fuel, and food. The best of the best #
Velázquez, meanwhile, stated that the best teams on the continent from Guatemala, Peru, and Argentina will compete in La Pampa. He agreed with the Undersecretary of Sports, stating that the Pan American Games will be an important event not only in terms of sports, but also for the economic impact it will generate in Santa Rosa.
He assured that the best of the best in softball will be attending the Pan American Games to be held in La Pampa. “There will be no B or C teams here; they will all be A teams. In the different national teams, you will see the talents, the future stars of world softball. The tournament will be a qualifier for the 2026 World Cup, which will be held in Colombia.”
To the interior #
The president of the Argentine Softball Confederation, Carlos De la Vega, explained that Argentina had been hosting important international tournaments, which were held in the city of Paraná, Entre Ríos, but that since last year the game had opened up a bit, and it was decided to move these competitions to the interior of the country, in this case La Pampa and Bahía Blanca (U-18 Pan American Games). “So that everyone can grow.” He highlighted and thanked the provincial and municipal governments, as well as the Pampean Federation, for their support.

Meisoso, meanwhile, arrived with greetings from Mario Moccia, president of the Argentine Olympic Committee (COA) and ENARD. She thanked La Pampa, which she considered a land of great champions and great potential.
The president of the Pampean Softball Federation, Gerardo Monaco said that “it is important for us to publicize the first Pan American softball tournament to be held in the Province,”. Thanked the Undersecretary and the leaders of this sport for their presence. He considered holding this Pan American tournament “a feat, and that when the proposal arrived, work began. It’s a momentous event, not only for us as a federation, but for La Pampa.” He stated that various details are being worked on to host the tournament thanks to the support of the La Pampa government. Announced that there are pre-confirmed teams, including the United States, Mexico, Canada, Venezuela, Guatemala, Peru, the Dominican Republic, and Argentina, and he is awaiting a response from Cuba and Colombia.
Monaco* announced that each delegation is made up of 21 people, 17 of whom are players. He added that the idea is for the Pan American Games to be played on the center court of the “Arnaldo Gómez” Stadium in Parque Don Tomás, and that the auxiliary court will be used for training. The All Boys team playing field will also be available for practice.
