To this end, within the framework of National Forest Law No. 26331, the first ten producers with rural establishments in General Acha, Carro Quemado, Toay, Rancul, among others, gathered at the headquarters of the Vivero Provincial at Santa Rosa.
They received Non-Refundable Contributions (NRCs) for interventions in native forests. These contributions promote environmental sustainability and strengthen livestock production, considering that livestock is the main economic activity in the La Pampa. The Minister of Production, Fernanda González, emphasized that “this policy has been implemented for many years in the Province, with positive results that confirm its continuity. The funded projects allow for planned interventions in the forest, guaranteeing its conservation and promoting responsible production.”
Meanwhile, the Director General of Natural Resources, Carlos Bonnemezón, stated that “this distribution of funds from the Forest Law corresponding to the 2023 call today benefited the first ten out of a total of 34 producers, meaning that this distribution will continue in the coming days until the 340 million pesos allocated to the Multi-Year Native Forest Management Plans are completed.”
Regarding the work carried out, Bonnemezón noted that “we have been promoting them for a long time, and they aim to enhance the productive capacity and sustainability of the forest. We have had positive experiences with them, which is why some producers are accessing these funds for the second or third time. We are extremely pleased to be able to implement this policy, which we believe is the right one, because it prioritizes the perpetuity of the system and production within it,” emphasized the speakers, who were accompanied by the technical team from the Ministry of Production.
