Ziliotto celebrated SENASA’s decision to enable the passage of bone-in meat beyond the south of the Colorado River. “Since 2002, the province of La Pampa has always complained. And it is something that all governments and in turn of all Pampeans propose. This is not the triumph of any political faction, but of all Pampeans who understand that it is a benefit for the development of the provincial economy. So, welcome.”
The governor criticized the increase in withholdings -for example on soybean exportation- promoted by the national government: “I think it is one more blow to the countryside. Honestly, it is something that reduces the already shrinking profit margin that the Argentine economy has. A sidereal increase in costs in dollar terms, international values that are falling apart due to an international context. And also a policy that shrinks the economy.”
****“In the case of the countryside and specifically in the issue of livestock, not only has the export of meat fallen, we have a meatpacking industry in proportions of the largest in the country. We have 6 exporting meatpacking plants and exports have fallen by 40% during the year 2025. And domestic consumption also fell. Beef consumption per inhabitant decayed at historic levels. And that is a product of the shrinking of the economy”**, he said.

Ziliotto announced that in the next few days the contract will be signed to begin work on the Eduardo Castex meatpacking plant. Besides he confirmed that a private pig slaughter plant in Winifreda will soon begin operating, with state support. On the same line said there is support to the Pico slaughterhouse, which is the Trenel slaughterhouse, that in General Pico has plants in cycle II, do not slaughter.
“This year, we helped a lot the meatpacking industry, because it is the main industry that the province of La Pampa has. It has 3000 direct jobs. And that has to do with a provincial perspective that aims, from the State, to generate greater economic activity,” he said.
Ziliotto also criticized the federal government for abandon the national routes and the cut of the revenue sharing payments that correspond to the provinces as part of its national economic model of adjustment, as all of the governors reclaim.
