Oslo 1966: an installation that challenges sensory perception in the Marta Arangoa Room.

The Arts Center of the La Pampa’s Culture Secretariat, at Leguizamón 1125, in Santa Rosa, invites you to the inauguration of “Oslo 1966,” an engaging installation resulting from the research process of visual artist Leonardo García Ariño.

The exhibition will be held in the “Marta Arangoa” Room this Friday, October 10th at 8:00 PM.

“Oslo 1966” takes as its starting point a historical and artistic event: the concert that the legendary Bill Evans Trio gave at the Munch Museum in Oslo in 1966. From this milestone, García Ariño constructs an experience that goes beyond the visual or the musical, exploring the relationship between disciplines and the audience’s reaction.

The proposal is structured around three fundamental axes: the Concert in Oslo, a real event where the jazz of the Bill Evans Trio resonated in the space of an art museum, merging two creative worlds; the disciplinary struggle, an implicit friction or competition between music and visual arts, altering the interaction, behavior, and mood of the spectators; and sensory stress, as the installation seeks to generate an intense experience, a “sensory stress” that invites the audience to reflect on how simultaneous artistic stimuli modify our perception and emotion.

Leonardo García Ariño proposes an immersive space where memory, sound, and image intertwine to unleash a new form of dialogue with art.

The exhibition will be open to the public from October 10 to November 26, 2025.
